Notes from the Field

The following are stories received by TSM International from their workers on the mission field.

Thomas*

It has been a good ministry experience in our town* as the mission continues and souls are turning to know Christ Jesus.

The great achievement is in the church where members are interested in reaching out to other people who haven't give their life to Christ within their geographical area. Most of the time they testify about how some of the Christian share the word of Christ to their friends in the market, at home and even in school.

There are two students in the church I have mentored since they gave their life to Christ, John* and Kombo*. They have become active members of the ‘mission oriented’ keeping the fire burning in the Church and school through sharing the gospel of Christ.

Sister Maria* as well has been front bearer to Ladies in the church and community at large through reaching out and even exercising spiritual gifts. God has been walking with her greatly. Some are even confessing about stopping to believe in traditional protective things such as "irinzi " and trust in God for protection.

Other church members are also confessing how God has transformed them from drugs addicts to a true converts and overcame addiction. Children as well are interested in knowing God giving their life to Christ active in knowing the word of God.

Within the place I stay neighbors comes to seek spiritual guidance, prayers and even counselling they have been seeing and hearing how God is working through us so they are in the position to believe in the Most High God.

Being here, living here, has been a great blessing to the schools within, Church and even community at large. Thank you for your support!

Through school ministry, I always sacrifice my lunch time to share bible stories with Muslim children. This has helped many Muslims to stop discriminating the Christian kids.

Some have been coming up with Bible questions which has enabled me to share the truth of the gospel. Also some came into contact with the Bible for the first time.

I was invited to a local Mission School where I had opportunity to speak to students, there after I went to reach out to a nearby community where a Muslim woman who was sick for 13 yrs gave her life to Christ. I also visited another community and by grace of God we were able to be welcomed in Muslim homes and they allowed us to pray for them.

I and another missionary went to visit her friend who is a Muslim. We shared the gospel and prayed for her business. The following day she called us to let her know that the family was against her for allowing us to pray for her but we thank God for intervention.

I have also done counseling to a sixth grade Muslim girl who was almost dropping out of school. I thank God she was able to sit for her exams last year. Also met a Muslim woman whose child had died and another one who was going through marital issues. We were able to minister and pray with them all.
